Bruno Big is a multidisciplinary artist who carries inside the passion for a lot of varied techniques. For this show, he took canvases, illustrations and prints.
He always says that he admires French painting a lot and, because of that, he wanted to pay a tribute to some artists there: "In my research, I looked for references from artists who are important to me. I made a rereading of Manet and Toulouse Lautrec paintings and also painted a canvas in honor of Rodin. "
Big has participated in several projects outside Brazil. In addition to some international events and collective exhibitions, his first solo exhibition was in Barcelona, in a café / gallery, in 2007: "I think that was the night when I really decided to focus on my authorial work," he recalls.
But the "Desire" exhibition was special. It was his first solo in a real gallery. After all, Next Street Gallery works with several artists not only from Europe but all around the world. "It's a great opportunity to show my work in a place that was very important to my career."
